COVID-19 Customer Update

To Our Customers:

Like you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about COVID-19 and how the virus is impacting us all. For RSD, that means understanding how it affects our employees and our customers, and ultimately making the necessary adjustments to our work environment. As a wholesale distributor of refrigeration and HVAC parts and equipment, we are an "essential business" and are exempt from the shelter in place restrictions. The products we provide are necessary for the installation, repair and maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC systems and are essential to the critical infrastructure of grocery stores, food chains, hospitals, blood banks, assisted living facilities and government agencies.

We are continuously monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations to stop the spread of this virus. We have shared specific instructions from the CDC to our employees via email or through our internal dashboard on the importance of washing their hands, practicing social distancing and to staying home if they feel sick.

Our goal is very simple: to keep you and our employees safe. While we've already implemented serious operational precautions to ensure the safety of everyone, allow us to explain the changes we've made to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Several employees are now working remotely including outside sales personnel. Employees still reporting to the office are required to practice social distancing. We have suspended all travel and canceled all customer trainings. We've also increased the cleaning procedures at the branch and have supplied the branches with the appropriate chemicals.

While we remain OPEN for business, we have SUSPENDED customer ENTRY in certain branches:

  • - We offer a socially distanced curbside service to your vehicle.
  • - RSD will follow all State and County guidelines when it comes to mandatory or recommended safety procedures, if allowing the public into our essential business locations

Our delivery drivers are required to use gloves while out on delivery. They are also practicing social distancing, wearing face coverings (per city, county or state guidelines), and have single-use pens for collecting proof of delivery signatures.
